Aquaponics System With Worms

I got some more worms from uncle jim's worm farm and added them to my aquaponic grow beds:) fun fun fun! i added a lot more because i need them to to eat waste in my system and lay eggs so i can. Perhaps you meant in a hydroponic system? most worms would not survive in an aquaponics system. my experience with the 1000's of australian strain of worms i had in my 4 x 8 "hydro-bed", i never saw any castings.. The recommended worms for your aquaponic system are red worms. otherwise known as the red worm, brandling worm, pinfish worm, trout worm, tiger worm, red wiggler worm or the red californian earth worm. if you use most any other type of earthworm, they will die..

Aquaponics consists of two main parts, with the aquaculture part for raising aquatic animals and the hydroponics part for growing plants. aquatic effluents, resulting from uneaten feed or raising animals like fish, accumulate in water due to the closed-system recirculation of most aquaculture systems..
